This year was a very "Cars" Christmas for Isaac - he loved it, and even took his nap with two Lightning McQueen cars...

The coolest Christmas present

Grandpa got his grandkids a ROLLERCOASTER for their house. Isaac is loving it - our house is going to seem really boring after this!

Santa SUCCESS!

On Monday, Isaac's Mother's Day Out class had their Christmas party and Santa visited - Dad coaxed him to stand with Santa so we got a photo this year!

(Now if only we can get Eli with Santa - hopefully that will be an easier task!)

We slid down the hill at the church with some friends - Isaac loved it, and even though Eli didn't seem to know what was going on, he enjoyed all the attention!

SPBC Children's Christmas pageant

While Eli made his acting debut last week, Isaac's foray into the grand theatre was this morning in our church's children's Christmas pageant. He was a shepherd, a role which only lasted through half of one song, after which he left the stage and watched the rest of the performance from dad's lap. (He sang all the songs, though, from his perch on the second row!!)

I have a feeling that I will get a lot of pictures of this look throughout his life - most likely accompanied by a sigh and "Mom, you're embarrassing me." I'll savor every moment anyway!!!

Gingerbread House

Mom decided, bravely or foolishly, to build a Gingerbread House with Isaac this year. It really is a miracle that it turned out so well. Isaac consumed more than his share of the decorating candy, and there were supposed to be two little gingerbread men standing in front of the house, but those also were consumed by the 2-yr-old...

This little gingerbread man that Isaac is reaching for was the first to go!

This is my favorite - the angels kissing "baby Jesus." What an amazing thought - that the angels who guarded the stable where Jesus was born knew just who this little baby was - King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

Seeing Santa, first attempt

Running through the mall, excitingly proclaiming, "Go see Santa Claus! Go see Santa Claus!"

He stopped briefly in front of Santa's shop, said, "No!" and then ran the other way.

Come to Bethlehem

In our church's Come to Bethlehem live nativity, Eli is playing baby Jesus in the manger scene. They wrap him up really well, and put a heating pad in the manger, and he is happy as a lark!
