Carolina Beach trip - day 1 (and the travel day before)

Since Dad has 3 weeks before he starts his new job, we decided to take a family trip to the beach! We choose Carolina Beach, which is near Wilmington, because it is known to be family friendly (which, so far, it is!) Here are some pics from day one (and travel yesterday...)

We were packed in pretty tight, but it didn't stop Isaac from taking a nice, long nap!

Isaac wasn't real thrilled with the ocean today. It's only day 1, though, so here's hoping he'll be playing in the waves before too soon!

We ended the day at the pool - Isaac suddenly got very brave and jumped to Dad several times!

Isaac and Dad went to visit Grandma and Grandpa for a night (for Father's Day and so Mom could have a "girls only except for Eli" sleepover!)
They have a slide over one side of their stairs and Isaac LOVED it! (It is, as he puts is, "awesome"!)

Isaac hit his first baseball today! We were playing baseball in the living room (shh, don't tell!!!), and he hit the ball with the bat! Dad is very, very proud...

Backyard fun

When Isaac gets home from daycare, he is usually pretty spent! So, we just let him do whatever he wants - and usually that includes going "ou-side", as he puts it. Here are some pics and a videos from yesterday's fun-in-the-sun!

A flight over Burlington

For our church's youth silent auction fundraiser, we bought a one-hour flight over Burlington in a 4-seater plane - as kind of a goodbye to our first true home as a young family! Isaac loved the airplanes - from the ground, at least. Once our pilot started the engines, he was a little scared by the noise!

Our soon-to-be new home - Shelby, NC

On May 10, we went to Sandy Plains Baptist Church in Shelby, NC, where Garin preached and the church voted for him to become their pastor. SO, we are moving to Shelby in early July.

Trip to Grammie's in TX, Memorial Day weekend

We went to a strawberry farm right across the street from Grammie's house on Saturday, but it was REALLY crowded (the local TV station had done a story about it on Thursday). So we just sat and watched all the people picking strawberries, while Isaac climbed in and out of his stroller.
