Since Dad has 3 weeks before he starts his new job, we decided to take a family trip to the beach! We choose Carolina Beach, which is near Wilmington, because it is known to be family friendly (which, so far, it is!) Here are some pics from day one (and travel yesterday...)
We were packed in pretty tight, but it didn't stop Isaac from taking a nice, long nap!
This is the view from our porch - just a short walk to the beach.
Isaac was in charge of getting his sand toys to the beach - thanks to this toy-wagon from Grandma and Grandpa!

Isaac wasn't real thrilled with the ocean today. It's only day 1, though, so here's hoping he'll be playing in the waves before too soon!
He LOVED playing in the sand, though!
We ended the day at the pool - Isaac suddenly got very brave and jumped to Dad several times!

I think Isaac, Tirzah, and Uncle Trevor would get along great at the beach! They love playing in the sand, too.

Great hat and shades, Isaac looks like he is already having a great time! And it's so sweet how he totally trusts his daddy, just jumping into that water into Garin's arms. He is having fun and learning great life lessons at the same time.

Maybe if Isaac came to the beach he would distract Tirzah from my sand castles...I only get a column or so built and she knocks them down--I'm just pitching a thought (:
